Some Random Bar

Subject: Some Random Bar Sun Nov 30, 2008 8:08 am

The bar smells of tobacco and beer as people pour in after a long day of work possibly. Random shouts emit from drunken people, followed by strange laughter or a loud bang of someone ramming into a table. I sit on a stool atop the stage of the bar, an acoustic guitar in hand. I adjust the mic with my free hand and wait for silence. I then begin to play the following song titled: Viva La Vida.
"I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sleep the streets I used to own

I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemies eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing:
"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"

One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt, and pillars of sand

I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
Once you know there was never, never an honest word
That was when I ruled the world

Blew down the doors to let me in.
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People could not believe what I'd become

For my head on a silver plate

I look out into the crowd, not even knowing what I was waiting on. And without a word I dodge off stage with the guitar in hand and sit down at the bar, ordering anything o.o
